Life can be pretty unpredictable and amazing!
It was a total shock for us to find out that we were expecting twins in the beginning of February 2017 (or most likely in mid January). We were planning for one new family member now that Þóra Lóa will turn four years old and we thought the age difference was good, but then at our first sonar we found out we were expecting two new members. We basically both started to laugh hysterically when the doctor told us and he kind of just went with it and all three of us just stood there laughing for a whole minute. It did feel overwhelming but after having had the time to digest all of it we are absolutely super excited :)
Both me and Gunnar like new challenges and this will be our biggest one yet ;) I am now in week 14 and already showing, my only concern is how big and heavy this pregnancy will be but I will do my best to relax and slow down with work.
I have already started to stock up on premature clothing and swaddle blankets for our twins. I bought premature wool and silk clothing in size 38/40 from Petit and swaddle blankets in organic cotton from Tinycottons. We don’t know the genders yet but we know that they are two-egg twins so everything’s possible, boy-boy, girl-girl and girl-boy.
Whatever the case may be, they’ll be loved to bits and probably overly photographed in matching outfits :)
