Fell in love with this lamp when it first came out but then we where just about to move so I wanted to wait and see if it would fit in our new home. Then when I visited IKEA last week this beauty was on sale, I needed to get it before they where completely out of IKEAs product line.
For me setting the table before that one special dinner is just as important as the food being served, a good dinner experience needs to look and taste good. I love table wear, I never seem to get tired of buying me new ones.
I visited the iittala store in Kringlan today and picked out the perfect dinner set. Smoked gray and clear glass mix 🙌
We enjoyed a beautiful evening grilling on our balcony with this perfect dinner wear ☀
This room took extra long to finalize bc of the flooring that we put in and the skirting on top of it. The floor is vinyl parket, super strong and completely quiet. Perfect in the kids room when sneaking out after bedtime. We got it from Murbudin and they where really helpful to show me how to put it in ourselves 👌
Then we decided to paint half the walls with color to keep the room light. The color we have used is from Nordsjö/Serefni and the shade is named Misty le Havre, the perfect dusty green/gray.
Petit received the outstanding brand Numero74 this week and I have been dreaming about their products for years. I just had to have this tent!
The garland is also from Numero74 and it really makes the room magical and spacious.
4 days left to the big move and now we are complete painting all room’s and the finishing work is going in. Today we put in white floor carpet in Þóra Lóa’s room.. It turned out prefect and we where able to lay it our selfs, so easy and cheap!
We used spacial carpet tape and glued it down and then we cute off the extra edge so it fits exactly in the room. Now we will put in wall lists over the carpet ?
I am looking at wall colors for the new house. Our apartment today is extremely Scandinavian with all walls white, white oiled wooden floors and white furniture. In the new house we decided to not have any white walls, all rooms will be painted in different dust shades and we will also redo the floors but haven’t decided what type of floors yet, I think they will be bleached gray or dark oak wooden floors.
Our little bathroom was in great need of a “face lift” so we decided to have it done before the end of January. Our main focus was good practical storage and space for a washing machine, having newborn babies I did not want to be running to the washing room in the basement all the time.
I forgot to take before pictures so you can see the transformation but it was old and just not practical at all. What we have done is to buy new interior as lights, mirror, cabinets, shower/bath pipes, stone top and sink. I am really happy with the outcome and new storage spaces we got in this small bathroom.
We picked dark wood interior and white stone top, the top is extra wide for a bathroom so we could fit the washing machine under and also to have as a changing table on top. The sink and the top is all in stone and specially made after our measurements, we wanted all in one piece blending together. We picked a sink that is big enough so we can give our little boys a bath in it the first months.
Us taking a selfie in the middle of the renovation.
I am in nesting mood and finishing our home on step at the time before the twins arrival. We always wanted a big cosy couch to crawl up in and I know maybe white is not the most practical choose when expecting twin boys but IKEA sells covers for the couch and it is washable so we took a chance on having a white couch ;)
