It´s been some weeks since my last post and time has been flying by..
I´ve been occupied by life, had my birthday in the end of September and Gunnar had his the other day. We are also going through big changes with Petit and a very exiting feature ahead, for now I wont say anything more but I will keep you posted ;)
As I have mentioned before the business market here in Iceland is very competitive, I have honestly never seen anything like it. Now there are similar stores to Petit poping up like mushrooms. We have been fighting to keep our brands for our self’s and we are constantly receiving emails that other stores in Iceland wants to have all the same brands that we carry. If you have the capability to open a store why don’t you open your own store (??) It is chocking to me and it took a lot of my energy, but I have learned to put my focus and energy forward, to build the feature of our concept, to stay different and unique.
In a week we are leaving for Amsterdam, just me and Gunni. It will be our first time away since Þóra Lóa was born. I am really excited, our trip is a mix of business and pleasure witch will make it extra fun. This is the first time we are leaving Þóra Lóa and a little hard for me, but she is 2,5y and it should be fine. I think I am extra protective of her because of my own childhood and that we only have one set of grandparents to ask for help, so we are used to always have her with us. But it is important to get sometime alone and just focus on us, so we can be the best partners and parents <3
