“I wear jeans every day,” says the designer, and his collection is currently made up of three styles, all inspired by what he dubs the “genuine, men’s article” and his friends who wear them: Wang 001, Wang 002, and Wang 003, which run from a slim leg with minimal stretch to a relaxed cut and looser “boy” fit that, due to a tapered ankle, stays pegged when rolled. All have matte black rivets intended to disappear into the denim, and all possess that innate brand of Alexander Wang model-off-duty slouch.
